Excursions to Washington, DC and New York City

The nation’s capital is the political hub of American society, but is also a bustling cosmopolitan city known for premier museums, iconic monuments, unique cuisine, national sports teams, and various historic neighborhoods. George Mason University’s location forty minutes from downtown allows students the opportunity to experience the city as much as they like and truly feel like a local. Cultural excursions will draw from all elements of Washington, DC and will be organized through the Office of Global Strategy.

Students live in university residence halls on campus. Standard rooms are double occupancy with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities on each floor.

On campus, students have access to libraries, computer labs, three (3) athletic facilities, and a number of different dining options. A health clinic is located on campus that students can have access to if needed.

All room and board fees are included in the program fee. Students seeking non-standard accommodations are subject to additional fees and must make their request as soon as possible, as there is no guarantee requests can be fulfilled.
